A Convincing Pelican
Gesine Marwedel has long established herself as a pioneer with the ability to create detailed landscapes on naked canvases. Yet this transformation of a human model makes her other creations seem dull in comparison.
For this project, Gesine invited her dancer friends to pose and create these stunning images. Imagine how difficult it must have been for this model to hold this position till the artist was done painting. The bird depicted is a Great White Pelican, easily identifiable by its snowy white body and black flight feathers.
