Simone Manuel – Swimming
Simone Manuel, a swimming sensation, made history in 2016 by becoming the first Black American woman to win an individual Olympic gold medal. She splashed onto the scene, setting both Olympic and American records. Simone continued her medal-winning streak at the 2020 Olympics, adding a bronze to her collection.
As a swimmer, she’s serious about her beauty routine, especially hair care for Black swimmers, using specific products to keep her skin and scalp glowing. She’s also a sought-after athlete, landing sponsorships with major brands like Toyota in 2020. In 2024, Simone aimed for gold at the Paris Olympics but was eliminated in the preliminaries of the 50-meter freestyle.
