Steve Carell might be the funny man on screen but when it comes to his relationships, he is pretty serious. He met Nancy Walls when he was a teacher, and she happened to be his student. The chemistry they had from the beginning was quite clear, especially since Walls used to be nervous around him and kept quiet. However, slowly, they overcame their initial hesitations and started dating.
Later, they settled down and both have great careers which took their earnings to a new high, eliminating all fears of financial woes. That must have helped in keeping the happiness intact.
