Genie Francis — 1962
Genie Francis or Eugenie Ann “Genie” Francis do these names ring a bell? Don’t beat yourself up if they don’t. Genie Francis made her debut in the world of entertainment in the year 1976. However, her biggest role came to her only a year later, i.e., in 1977. She became a household name by playing the role of Laura Spencer in hit ABC television series General Hospital. Genie joined the cast of the show since it began airing in the 1960s. She even went on to win a Daytime Emmy Award for her role.
While the show is still running and has over 14,000 episodes, this actress actually retired from her role back in the 2010s. However, the fans’ favorite wife returned to the show in 2018! Looks life Genie Francis did not exactly enjoy her retirement period and is very dedicated to acting.
