Chasing Weight That Always Returns
According to a 2016 CDC report, nearly 40% of American teens between 16 and 19 were trying to lose weight. Lexi wasn’t any different. Growing up in the early 2000s, she faced the pressure of an era obsessed with thin, flawless figures. The body positivity movement hadn’t even taken shape yet.
Instagram wouldn’t spark it until 2012. Lexi jumped from one diet to the next, trying everything from Weight Watchers to Weight Loss LA. She’d see some progress, but no matter what, the weight always came back. Time and again, she found herself right back where she started, frustrated and unsure of what to try next.
