It was New Year’s, and Lexi had a plan. She knew this would be the perfect time to start fresh. Like so many others, her resolution centered on improving her health. For most, that meant eating better or hitting the gym more often, explaining the surge in fitness memberships every January.
In 2016, at 26, Lexi felt it was time to take control. Working at a law firm, she often spoke with people applying for disability benefits. Listening to their struggles with diabetes, neuropathy, and heart problems left a lasting impact on her. It was a wake-up call and a frightening glimpse into her future if she didn’t act now.
