Ese mismo año comenzaron su relación, con el paso de los años hubo muchos rumores de matrimonio, pero nunca hubo nada claro. La pareja ha pasado más de 30 años juntos y no se han casado. Ellos indican que de haberlo hecho no estuvieran juntos ya que el matrimonio requiere un tipo de compromiso que ellos no tienen y eso hubiera arruinado su relación.
