PETER JAN RENS – PRESENTATOR – 74 JAAR OUD
Peter Jan Rens begon zijn carrière op een opvallend andere manier dan de meeste entertainers. Ooit werkzaam als fysiotherapeut, vond hij al snel zijn weg naar de kunst- en theaterwereld. In de jaren ’70 maakte hij de overstap naar toneel en richtte in 1978 zijn eigen gezelschap Kaktus op. Hieruit ontsprong de iconische televisieshow ‘De Grote Meneer Kaktus Show’, een programma dat diepe indruk maakte op een hele generatie kinderen en jarenlang populair bleef op de Nederlandse televisie. Zijn carrière evolueerde verder met het meer volwassen georiënteerde ‘Labyrinth’. Hoewel zijn privéleven soms overschaduwd werd door persoonlijke uitdagingen, zoals twee scheidingen, blijft het onduidelijk wat de toekomst voor Rens in petto heeft. Fans hopen echter dat hij hen nog lang zal blijven verrassen.
