A cantora Maria Gadú sempre foi conhecida por sua bela voz e suas letras que tinham temáticas variadas na MPB.Ela escreveu e cantou músicas que falavam sobre a relação espiritual que o homem tem com o mundo, assim como escreveu temas como religião, natureza e opção sexual.
Ela é uma defensora ferrenha dos direitos LGBTQ+ e é casada com Lua Leça, uma peça importante na história da carreira de Maria. Lua é a maior inspiração da cantora e até Gadú já compôs uma música em especial para ela. As duas são sempre vistas aos beijos e abraços em público.
