Every country has its symbols, and for the United Arab Emirates, the falcon is the national bird. That is because it is a show of courage and nobility, as encouraged by the first president of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who admired the bird since he was very young.

One of the privileges given to the falcons is the ability to board planes belonging to Qatar, Etihad, Emirates, and Royal Jordanian Airlines. That could turn out to be a lovely surprise for anyone traveling with them on the plane, but why wouldn’t they travel by air when they have passports?
