Serbia’s history of conflict has instilled a deep sense of patriotism among its citizens, inspiring many of the nation’s most stunning women to don the uniform and stand ready to defend their homeland. The recruitment process for women in the Serbian Armed Forces has evolved significantly. Since 2007, women have been admitted to the Military Academy, and by 2009, they began serving as professional soldiers.
In 2011, a milestone was achieved when 19 women were promoted to the rank of lieutenant, marking the first generation of female cadets to graduate from Serbia’s military academy. This progression highlights the country’s commitment to integrating everyone into all facets of military service.
