Para alguien que estudio en la Escuela de Artes Cinematográficas de California para tener éxito en Hollywood, Britney pensó que los problemas de peso eran algo menor. Después de graduarse, Young ayudó detrás de cámaras para varios proyectos, pero su momento llegó con Stand Up Girls, seguido de Crazy EX-girlfriends, Those Who Can’t y la popular serie de Netflix, Glow. Debido a que ella tuvo que entrenar como luchadora para el programa, ella perdió peso, 40 libras para ser exactos. Britney Young luce perfecta para el rol de una joven luchadora.
