Ron Lester – Cirugía de bypass gástrico
El actor de Varsity Blues y The Fat Boy Chronicles, Ron Lester, comenzó su carrera como comediante. Él era conocido como el tipo grande y gracioso de Hollywood. Luchando con su peso de más de 508 libras, Ron Lester finalmente decidió que la mejor forma de deshacerse de todo el peso extra era ir al quirófano. Él conoció a un cirujano y se hizo una cirugía de bypass gástrico en el 2001. Incluso después de la operación, él tuvo que hacerse 18 cirugías plásticas para remover el exceso de piel. A pesar de sentirse bien con su peso, el actor sufría de problemas del hígado y del riñón en el 2015. Un año después, él fue desconectado a pedido de sus familiares y falleció a los 45 años.
