Piper der Flughafenheld: Sicherheit auf vier Pfoten
Flughafenhunde, die nach Drogen oder Sprengstoff suchen, sind längst bekannt – doch Piper, ein Border Collie aus Michigan, hat eine ganz andere Mission. Am Cherry Capital Airport sorgt er dafür, dass Wildtiere Start- und Landebahnen meiden. Ausgestattet mit spezieller Schutzkleidung und einem beeindruckenden Instinkt vertreibt Piper Vögel und andere Tiere, die Flugzeuge gefährden könnten. Seine Arbeit ist nicht nur effektiv, sondern auch herzerwärmend: Mit seinem flauschigen Charme hat Piper die Herzen der Internetgemeinde im Sturm erobert. Sicherheit war selten so niedlich! Ein Beweis dafür, dass selbst auf Flughäfen tierische Helfer einen unverzichtbaren Beitrag leisten können – und dabei noch für viele Lächeln sorgen.
