Flugzeuge im Formationsflug? Himmlische Kunst am LAX
Auf den ersten Blick wirkt das Bild wie eine gefährliche Beinahe-Kollision am Himmel. Doch die atemberaubende Aufnahme ist kein Chaos, sondern ein beeindruckendes Kunstwerk. Fotograf Mike Kelly erschuf mit „Wake Turbulence“ eine visuelle Illusion, die den regen Flugverkehr am Flughafen LAX in Kalifornien in Szene setzt. Aus 400 Einzelaufnahmen entstand ein Werk, das die Flugzeuge scheinbar in perfekter Formation fliegen lässt. Dabei täuscht das Bild: Die Maschinen waren natürlich weit voneinander entfernt und starteten sicher. Kellys Arbeit zeigt die Ästhetik hinter dem geordneten Chaos und fängt die Dynamik eines der weltweit geschäftigsten Flughäfen auf spektakuläre Weise ein. Ein Meisterwerk zwischen Kunst und Technik!
