Dame Lesley Lawson a.k.a. Twiggy – 1949
Lesley Lawson was nicknamed Twiggy because of her thin frame. She started modeling in the sixties and eventually became an iconic face in the British fashion industry as her androgynous look gave her a separate identity from other models. She also worked as a judge in America’s Next Top Model. Even after her modeling days were over, she kept herself busy doing tons of things. She designed a line for the brand Marks And Spencers, released an album titled Romantically Yours, and started her own blog. She will always be remembered for being a fashion icon and even today, she looks flawless. Following a healthy lifestyle is the key to looking good as you age, they say!
