L’INSUFFICIENZA DEL SISTEMA DI SICUREZZA
Se il sistema di sicurezza fosse stato in atto e funzionante correttamente, Chernobyl non avrebbe assistito a una catastrofe di così vasta portata. Senza dubbio, la tragedia avrebbe potuto essere evitata se coloro responsabili della centrale nucleare fossero stati più cauti e maggiormente concentrati sulle conseguenze. Un sistema di raffreddamento di emergenza del nocciolo era collegato ai reattori per evitare il surriscaldamento dei detriti nucleari. Gli esperti ritengono che se il sistema non fosse stato disattivato durante il test, l’esplosione avrebbe potuto essere facilmente evitata. Gli avvocati specializzati in infortuni personali hanno sottolineato la stessa cosa, e crediamo che molte vite avrebbero potuto essere salvate.
