Nelle conseguenze del disastro di Chernobyl, è emerso che i bambini sono stati i più colpiti e la radiazione dell’esplosione ha avuto effetti letali sulla loro salute. Chernobyl Children International, un’organizzazione non profit, ha ricevuto il sostegno delle Nazioni Unite. L’CCI aiuta le famiglie colpite finanziariamente e mentalmente, fornendo assistenza medica e umanitaria alle vittime. Questo è stato un passo importante ed è sostenuto finanziariamente da tutto il mondo. Adi Roche, un irlandese, ha posto le basi di questa organizzazione e crediamo che più persone come lui debbano fare un passo avanti e offrire il proprio aiuto.
