How Big Was The Explosion?
In case you are thinking how vast the explosion was, remember the devastation that the atomic bomb dropped by the United States brought to Hiroshima? Well, this one is around 400 times worse than that! No one lived to see the light of the day and enjoy their life insurance policies as the menacing effects of this explosion ravaged lives in and around Pripyat. In fact, the metal claw that was used to clean up reactor four after the disaster took place is radioactive to extreme proportions even to this day. It’s impossible to remove it from the site as workers would have to take the risk of getting contaminated.
