Fighting Nerves For A Photo With The Pyramids
The day before Diana was scheduled to see the pyramids, the press corp was invited to have drinks with her. This happened in 1992, and she expressed discomfort about being asked to stand alone near grand monuments like the pyramids. In response, Hussein encouraged her to pretend to be a model, and she accepted, only agreeing to pose for a brief moment.
The photographer kept his focus and captured her in a playful pose. She asked later if he got the picture, and he was able to satisfy her with his instinctive response. He caught her in a unique moment, like a ballerina with her foot half up.
