Hussein recollected his conversation with Princess Diana when he took a photo of her at the Chelsea Harbour Club in London in 1995. He recalls telling her that part of his job was to cover news stories and record history. To which she responded, understanding his need to do his job.
Hussein, who had shot her during her eating disorder struggles until her recovery, was looking to portray the royals as the humans they are. Diana was on board with that, as she wanted to move away from rigid royal traditions, evident in her thriving fashion sense. In conclusion, she was a strong and independent woman determined to break away from outdated customs.
