Huang Chalong heads the Galaxy Group, a privately held business who is based in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen. Huang’s business interests include hotels, office leasing, shopping malls, parking-lot operation, and real estate development.

Huang Chalong accumulated a lot of wealth as the chair of the privately-held Galaxy Group, based out of Shenzhen, China. The company has been developing over 538 million square feet of real estate in China.

He continues making great inroads into other areas such as business operations, urban renewal,  finance, urban renewal, and investment. Chalong currently holds about 85% of the shares of the Shenzhen Galaxy Commercial Property Investment. His net worth is around $6.30 billion CAN ($5 billion US). In his sixties now the Canadian citizen Chalong is also on the list of the 1000 richest people in the world.
