Com modelos magras, Tess quebrou esse estigma e se tornou um modelo de tamanho maior. Ela engordou mais alguns quilos após a gravidez, e seu peso final era de impressionantes 145 kg. Com o desejo de se livrar desse excesso de peso, Tess passou por rigorosos exercícios aeróbicos porque não acreditava em dietas nem em cirurgias para ajudá-la. Com a ajuda de um personal trainer, ela já perdeu 18 quilos.
