Gene Roddenberry

Eugene Roddenberry, an American writer and producer, will always be remembered for creating the Star Trek TV series, but not many know that he got a pilot’s license before he joined the US Air Force. During his time, he was involved in a plane crash while on duty. Though two people were killed, thankfully, he didn’t get in any trouble or got a case against him filed by personal injury attorney. After he came back, he devoted all his time to becoming a writer and producer. Needless to say, he got immense success in it. Despite years of addiction to drugs, he never went to a drug rehab but got tons of health issues because of it. Finally, his health couldn’t take it anymore, and he passed away in 1991.
