LE NETTOYAGE DU SITE DE L’INCIDENT EST TOUJOURS EN COURS
Le site de Tchernobyl a été nettoyé aux bons soins de l’Union soviétique pendant près de 6 mois, et surtout au niveau du réacteur 4. L’équipe de nettoyage a plus spécialement couvert le cœur du réacteur de plomb, de sable et du bore en plus de bâtir une grande structure en béton par-dessus.
La structure bétonnée a néanmoins révélé de nombreuses fissures au fil des années, obligeant ainsi le gouvernement ukrainien à le reconstruire en 2016. Il a d’ailleurs été établi qu’il faudra au moins attendre jusqu’en 2065 pour que le processus de nettoyage du site puisse vraiment être achevé.
