HARRY S. TRUMAN – ABOUT $5K, 1972 CHRYSLER NEWPORT

Harry S. Truman served as the 33rd President of the USA and succeeded Franklin D. Roosevelt. He became famous even before he became a president by being the chairman of the Truman committee.

It was also during his rule when the USA used its nuclear weapons on Japan, making him the only world leader who used nuclear power. His father was a farmer and a livestock dealer, and they had a few acres of farmland. However, Truman chose a different path for his career. He went to war during World War I, didn’t sustain any injuries, and despite failing to complete his college education, he still went to serve as the president of the United States!

When he felt like spoiling himself, he always had a special fondness for Chrysler, and as reported, he bought his last Chrysler, a Newport model, in 1972. He never got the chance to fully enjoy the car though because, in just about six months after the purchase, Truman passed away.
