People living in Chernobyl at the time of the nuclear disaster started getting affected with cancer and the rate started increasing with time. Even though accident lawyers hold the official responsible, the scientists are of the opinion that evacuating the entire area after the blast might prove to helpful in the future. They argued that people residing near the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant have long been affected by the deadly disease even before the plant was set up, and after the evacuation took place, fewer people have fallen prey since they are now safe from the background radiation.
