The Damage of Nuclear Testing In The 50s

After the meltdown in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the environment was contaminated and the fire from the explosion burned for at least a week. However, if we compare the devastation to that of the nuclear testings that were carried out in the 50s and 60s, the Chernobyl disaster was on a much lower scale. As per several studies, the radiation in the Nevada desert in the U.S.would be almost equivalent to the radiation from Chernobyl.
