35 Years After The Chernobyl Disaster – This Is What It Looks Like Today

The Most Fatal Area – The Elephant’s Foot

The Elephant’s Foot is located below reactor four and happens to be the most radioactive area of Chernobyl. It’s actually a pile of radioactive waste that has never been removed since the time of the explosion. At the time when the foot came into being, getting exposed to it for around a minute was enough to kill an individual. As of now, it has been declared that exposure of 500 seconds to Elephant’s Foot is enough to take a life, and no accident lawyer can do anything about it. It is being claimed that the location will maintain its levels of radioactivity for not less than 100,000 years.
