35 Years After The Chernobyl Disaster – This Is What It Looks Like Today
An Uninhabitable Land For 20,000 Years
Since wildlife can survive in the contaminated environment in and around Chernobyl, you might wonder why human life can’t. According to Ukrainian scientists, the land surrounding the power plant is not suitable for human survival, and it would remain the same for nearly 20,000 years. A number of other scientists believe that 30,000 years would be a safer option and wrongful death attorneys appointed by international organizations are of the same opinion. There are also certain restrictions on how close you can access the zone for hunting and fishing. It’s better to be safe than sorry, and you are advised not to go beyond the permissible boundary.
