Virginia-Class Submarine

The Virginia-class attack submarine, also known as SSN-774, is a nuclear-powered beast built for quick strikes in both coastal and international waters. Designed as a cost-effective alternative to the Seawolf class, these submarines have taken over from the older Los Angeles class and are expected to stay in service well past 2060.

About 22 Virginia-class submarines are currently in service, with a total of 66 planned for the fleet. These subs are loaded with Tomahawk tubes, torpedoes, and other advanced weaponry, but it doesn’t stop there. With cutting-edge features like photonics sensors, modular masts, rescue gear, and an added payload module, these submarines are designed for next-level underwater dominance.
