Traffic Or Not, Follow These Signs
It’s quite a strange sight to see a traffic light in a place that doesn’t get much foot traffic. Many people can’t help but to ponder where the $200K spent on the installation could have been better utilized. Regardless, it is still best to follow these rules wherever they are placed.
Despite the hefty price tag, the first traffic light was set up in London in 1868 and was manually operated. Although it wasn’t the classic three-color signal we know today, it was still a remarkable feat. The more recognizable red, yellow, and green light was first seen in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1914, making traffic lights over a century old.
