Specialists who checked the calf revealed that it was just a few days old. Therefore, it’s probable that he was split apart from his mother when she was killed by a predator soon after giving birth. Poor little one!
Fortunately for the animal, this particular predator decided to be kind, or the little one would have perished along with the other animals in the area. The calf reacted by bleating loudly when the lioness opened her lips wide. The young fawn likely believed his time had come and cried out for help that might not have come. But the lioness had something else in mind.
