The Beautiful and Grotesque: Body-Paint Ideas That’ll Leave You in Shock!
A Lesson in Contrast
When indigenous tribes began body painting as a cultural practice, they relied on natural pigments from rocks, ashes, plants or animal by-products to create intricate shapes and lines on their bodies. Thankfully, we’ve moved past that stage. After all, only an actual factory-made body paint could provide this sort of coverage.
Rather than utilize multiple colours, the artiste relied on a rich black and the model’s skin to create this masterpiece. Alcohol-based paints may be the best kind for such lasting results. However, water-based are easier to apply and remove.
