LA ZONA PIÙ FATALE – IL PIEDE DELL’ELEFANTE
Il Piede dell’Elefante si trova sotto il reattore quattro ed è la zona più radioattiva di Chernobyl. In realtà, si tratta di un cumulo di rifiuti radioattivi che non è mai stato rimosso dal momento dell’esplosione. All’epoca, venire esposti al Piede dell’Elefante per circa un minuto era sufficiente per uccidere una persona. Al giorno d’oggi, è stato dichiarato che l’esposizione di 500 secondi al Piede dell’Elefante è sufficiente per togliere la vita, e nessun avvocato per incidenti può fare nulla al riguardo. Si afferma che il luogo manterrà i suoi livelli di radioattività per almeno 100.000 anni.
