A Chain Of Misfortune

The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant faced a lot of hiccups on days leading up to April 26, 1986. Banking on what had been reported to them, experts on-site conducted more than two tests to generate alternative forms of power in order to keep a reactor running but all their efforts fell flat on their face. On the 26th of April, the scientists present there made several attempts to bring reactor four back in operation, but unfortunately, it burst with power. The sudden increase in energy brought around a domino effect which led to a series of explosions within the reactor. The scientists could never imagine that the effect would be so bad, and they couldn’t stop it from reaching reactor three.
